To strengthen our Commercial Organization, we are currently hiring a
General Manager – Nordics (m/f/x)
(Fulltime / permanent / Location: Danderyd, Sweden)
The Opportunity
You are responsible for delivering sustainable and profitable growth for CSL Behring business in the Nordic Area comprised of Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland each financial year and in the long run.
You will lead a team to design and implement commercial strategy and adapt and execute individual brand strategy to enable the organization to deliver on the short- and long-term business growth objectives in full compliance with local legal and industry regulations and CSL code of responsible business practice.
The role is accountable for the performance of the organization as a whole enabling collaboration between the sales, marketing, market access and business operations under direct supervision and medical and enabling functions reporting functionally. It ensures full alignment of the organization under its leadership with the corporate, regional and cluster ways of working and governance.
Critical for the role is leading a team located in all four countries, creating highly engaging environment where employees can realize their professional aspirations as well as coaching and developing direct reports. In addition, the role will be the CSL Behring face for all relevant external stakeholders e.g. governmental institutions and partners alike and is a legal representative of CSL Behring in respective markets.
The Role
- Delivers financial performance of CSL Behring business in the assigned area
- Leads the team - manages performance of the direct reports and is accountable of the performance of the entire organization; hires, develops and retains talent
- Represents the company externally with health care providers, health care organizations, payers, procurement bodies, government, industry associations etc. including in negotiations on price and other terms of business
- Ensures optimal returns for CSL Behring from external partnerships 3PL, distributors, wholesalers and other service providers
- Accountable for successful market access strategy and implementation of action plans to maximize access of CSL Behring products to patients
- Accountable for designing successful tender strategy of both commercial and tolling segments and its flawless execution
- Accountable for preparation of local strategic plans, annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts as required
- Accountable for the monthly volume forecast of the four markets assigned
- Allocates available resources across markets and brands based on priorities aligned with cluster and region
- Adapts and implements locally relevant brand strategies for existing and new products, in close collaboration with above market medical, marketing and market access functions
- Contributes as a member of the Cluster Lead Team and supports joint performance of the cluster and the region e.g. in case of product allocations
- Establishes close collaboration and deep understanding of ways of working with medical and enabling functions (finance, HR, legal, compliance, regulatory, safety, quality etc.) and is accountable for ensuring the optimal level of service is provided for the organization as a whole to achieve commonly aligned business objectives
- Monitors and evaluates the changing external and competitive environments and responds appropriately. Interact with Healthcare Professionals, Government Officials in scientific studies, Donations, Speaker fees etc. consistent with corporate Policies, local rules, laws and regulations. Set up processes and databases for monitoring purposes.
- Implements and maintains policies and procedures in line with Corporate (and local) requirements
Your Skills and Experience:
- University degree in a scientific discipline and/or MBA
- At least 10 years of experience in healthcare/pharmaceuticals
- Prior experience as a General Manager of single county or a region
- Prior experience in marketing roles and sales management.
- Experience working in an international environment.
- Swedish, Danish or Norwegian language speaker
- Full proficiency in English
- ~30% of Business travel and an excellent command of English is required.
