We are seeking an experienced IT System Engineer to manage and maintain our on-premises IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance of critical systems. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in server administration, networking, storage, virtualization, and security within an enterprise environment, along with experience in Microsoft Azure.

Description
Administering Windows and Linux servers, handling virtualization with VMware and Hyper-V, and overseeing storage solutions. Ensuring performance monitoring, security, and regulatory compliance.
Managing identities and access through AD, GPO, LDAP, and SSO while ensuring role-based permissions and security compliance. Providing technical support and training to internal teams.
Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions (Veeam, Azure Backup).
Optimize performance, security, and availability of Microsoft environments.
Conduct technology watch and propose continuous improvements.
Provide Level 2 and 3 support for complex incidents.
Document architectures and implemented procedures.
Developing and maintaining backup, replication, and disaster recovery strategies using Veeam. Conducting regular tests to guarantee data integrity and availability.
Profile
At least 5 years of experience managing on-premises IT infrastructure, ideally in an international environment.
Expertise in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu, RHEL), virtualization platforms like VMware vSphere and Hyper-V, and enterprise storage solutions. Solid background in backup and disaster recovery (Veeam, Acronis), as well as network administration and security (firewalls, VPN, endpoint protection, SIEM).
Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation, along with experience in Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, and LDAP. Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Zabbix or Nagios.
Additional experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, and on-prem-to-cloud migrations is a plus. Knowledge of ITIL frameworks, service management processes, and database administration (SQL Server, MySQL) is beneficial. Hands-on experience with endpoint management tools like SCCM or Intune is advantageous.
Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator or VMware Certified Professional (VCP) are preferred.
