Join our client's team as a Splunk Specialist, where you'll lead the implementation of a new observability platform based on Splunk ITSI and support the migration from legacy tools. This Lausanne-based role combines hands-on project work and daily operational support, with opportunities to collaborate across regions and drive automation and monitoring improvements.

Description
You will spend approximately:
- 60% of your time supporting this project rollout, and
- 40% managing ongoing support and operational tasks.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting and managing monitoring tools: Splunk, Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry, Cribl, SolarWinds
- Automating day-to-day operations using Ansible
- Assisting development and production teams with the migration to the new Splunk Enterprise + ITSI platform
- Designing and building dashboards, reports, and metrics
- Identifying opportunities for improvement and driving implementation of tools, processes, and KPIs
Profile
We're looking for someone with 2+ years of experience as a Splunk administrator, with hands-on expertise in:
- Managing indexer and search head clusters
- Overseeing deployment servers for hundreds of forwarders
- Troubleshooting performance issues and tuning the platform
- Upgrading Splunk environments and managing lifecycle
- Building custom Splunk apps (data ingestion, transformation, dashboards, alerts)
- Writing optimized SPL queries and implementing RBAC policies
Additional desired skills:
- Experience with Splunk ITSI or IT Essentials Work
- Familiarity with application monitoring architecture and log-based observability
- Comfortable working with metrics in Splunk (vs traces)
- Proficient in Ansible, with scripting skills or experience with AWX/Automation Tower as a plus
- Strong Linux (Red Hat-based) administration knowledge
- Version control using Git, including team collaboration and production workflows
- Experience with Docker and containerized deployments
- Understanding of ETLs; hands-on with Cribl is a bonus
- Experience deploying OpenTelemetry collectors and configuring data collection
- Exposure to GitLab CI/CD and Dynatrace is advantageous
Soft Skills & Language Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable presenting and coaching others on monitoring tools and concepts
- Fluent in French and English
Being eligible to a Swiss working permit is mandatory (EU or Swiss Citizenship or in possession of a valid working Swiss permit)
