Job Summary:
As the Senior Staff Engineer, Analogue Design, you will be a trusted member of the core team who has a deep and intuitive level of expertise in the technicality of circuit and block design. You will continuously look to improve overall architecture and be able to take the lead on chip design projects running across teams.
Responsibilities:

Delivers designs on time to a high quality which meet the required specifications defined by Marketing/Product Definition

Works closely with other functional groups within the project core team including Marketing, Product Definition, Test, Verification, Reliability and Product Engineering.

Full ownership of significant subsystems.

Takes on lead role for smaller chip developments.

Proactive with innovating to continuously improve the overall architecture.

Communicate and present complex work in a clear and professional manner.

Writing reports and presenting to senior management

Supervision and mentoring of junior engineers.

Working closely with the Validation engineers to ensure the simulated design performance match with lab measurements
Minimum Qualifications:
-
8+ years of relevant industry experience in Analogue IC design
-
Good BSc or equivalent degree in Electronic Engineering
-
Good verbal communication/listening skills and fluent in spoken and written English

Proven analytical and problem solving skills
-
Deep and intuitive understanding of CMOS/BiCMOS analogue circuit design practice

RF (10GHz +) analogue circuit design experience
-
Experience of RF/Analog layout techniques (Floorplan, routing parasitics, matching, ESD, crosstalk, IR drop etc) in order to guide and review layout development
Desired Qualifications:
-
Relevant post-graduate qualification (MSc) or specialist Analog IC design training course(s)

25 GHz + circuit design experience

Prior experience with Laser Driver and/or TIA circuit design

Design and layout of high frequency components (TCOILs, Inductors) and use of 3D modelling

Knowledge of high frequency lab verification techniques and equipment

Understands practices for assuring device reliability and high yield (DFM)

Device modelling experience (Verilog-AMS, SystemVerilog, etc)
-
Understanding of optoelectronic components (PIN diodes, Lasers, MZMs)
