As part of the US Patient Value & Access you will report to Head of US Patient Value & Access and work with internal and external stakeholders.
How you will contribute:

Develops and oversees sustainable US market access and channel strategies for the entire Takeda Oncology portfolio that will allow patients to gain access to Takeda’s Oncology's (OBU’s) existing and future products.

Responsible for value story development, segmentation, message development & execution and drives access contracting strategy, pricing, specialty pharmacy and distribution plans, reimbursement and access / channel marketing resources for OBU’s in-line and pipeline products.

Positions and markets OBU as a valued partner to targeted payer and channel customers.

Ensures close collaboration with other Patient Value & Access colleagues along with Medical, HEOR, Marketing, Finance, Analytics and Sales teams to capture relevant access channel insights, identify data gaps, develop compelling value propositions and ensure field-based teams are equipped with the right tools.

Oversees OBU Patient Access & Support Services across the portfolio for in market and future products.

Has a deep understand and knowledge base in all U.S oncology health care segments and understands reimbursement landscape and incorporates into market access & pricing strategy.

Establishes measures of success for the access brand strategy, monitors and reports performance, and flexes and adapts the strategy to the changing U.S. environment.

Partner with global access strategic marketing lead to ensure that the US and ex US access strategies are aligned.

Collaborates with HEOR in the development of payer evidence needs and ensure it is integrated into the Medical/HEOR evidence plan.

Ensures brand plans incorporate the access needs of patients, payers, channel and healthcare providers.

Aligns organization on metrics to assess impact of key market access strategies and tactics.

Contributes to annual brand planning, forecasting and budgeting process to represent access & channel customer segments.

Partners with New Product Planning and Business Development functions to inform market access inputs and strategies for early-stage / targeted assets.

Runs annual Access Strategic Planning meetings, and is capable of understanding how the U.S. market place will evolve and for inspiring field staff to the strategies being proposed.

Identifies, as appropriate, access / system specific opportunities for innovative arrangements based on brand strategies in collaboration with Strategic Partnerships.

Develops deep access capabilities across BU’s franchises.

Oversees all access and channel market research within business unit.

Works to actively develop next generation of Market Access and Channel Strategy talent.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, PharmD or MBA preferred
-
Experience leading teams and navigating global matrix organization.
-
Seven or more years experience in biopharma market access (across payer, PBM, IDN, GPO, Specialty Pharmacy, etc), and patient services/HUB operations.

Experience with biologics and specialty products preferred.

Launch experience preferred.

Ability to lead without direct authority by influencing, inspiring, and motivating cross-functional teams

Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent organizational/strong project management skills

Must have positive attitude and build strong relationships with peers and cross functionally to enable higher performance.

U.S. Base Salary Range:
205,100.00 - 322,300.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
