Field Application Engineer

As a Field Application Engineer, your mission is to act as a key technical interface between the company and its customers, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed through tailored solutions. You will build strong relationships by providing expert guidance, training, and support while contributing to scientific knowledge sharing and marketing efforts. Your role encompasses both pre- and post-sales activities, including technical consultancy, managing tender processes, and supporting customer installations to deliver an exceptional experience.

Main responsibilities

• Support product integration at customer sites by guiding choices, offering technical expertise, and showcasing application-level product value.
• Address customer challenges by providing tailored solutions, organizing demonstrations, and ensuring technical guidance.
• Conduct visits to understand customer requirements, market trends, and technical needs to inform future product development.
• Attend industrial and scientific events to track trends, understand customer needs, and build relationships with potential customers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers pre- and post-sale, especially with technical influencers, key opinion leaders, and decision-makers.
• Follow customers throughout their projects, understand challenges, and provide advanced ongoing support at application level to ensure customer satisfaction with advanced technology solutions.
• Maintain a current scientific knowledge base, create and share scientific content, and assist with marketing materials and formal tender responses.
• Provide support to the Customer Support team by performing installations or other interventions in specific cases (e.g. in parallel to key customers’ visits or advanced training).

Qualifications

• MS/BS degree in bioengineering or relevant field.
• At least 3 years' experience working with technical products.
• In-depth knowledge of the technical solutions in the medical market applications/3D bioprinting and their value chains.
• Ability to identify customer requirements at application / system level.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in French is a plus.
• Ability to travel at least 30% of the time.
