We are seeking an ambitious and purpose-driven Data Scientist/ML Engineer to bring our growing portfolio of analytics services – queue detection, passenger forecasting, or in-store analytics – to the next level, together with a passionate team of fellow data scientists and software engineers. Your role:
- Design, prototype and test state-of-the-art algorithms for in-store analytics, passenger forecasting, and queue detection
- Implement, optimize, and maintain these algorithms in close collaboration with software engineers
- Exchange and collaborate with Product Management and customers to understand and identify analytics requirements
- Identify new data science trends in the context of people flow analytics, e.g., by collecting data and running pilots
- Fostering our culture of customer centricity, open feedback, and relentless improvement while being part of a friendly group of diverse people that like to have fun on the job
Your profile:
- University degree in engineering, mathematics, or physics (MSc or PhD)
- Excellent knowledge of statistics and machine learning (e.g., clustering, time-series analysis)
- Several years of experience in mathematical modeling and data analysis
- Good command of a programming language suitable for scientific computing (e.g., Python, Julia, C++)
- Interest in cloud computing and state-of-the-art software engineering
- Motivation to work in a multidisciplinary setting with a strong team spirit
