Consular Assistant

The primary job responsibilities are as follows:

• Assist Singaporeans with notarial, citizenship, passport matters as well as consular services, for example on cases involving, death, illness and other emergencies.
• Assist foreign nationals on notarial, visa and other immigration-related matters.
• Respond to general enquires via post, emails or calls in a timely manner.
• Manage information, database and work processes/procedures on consular-related matters for Singaporeans in Switzerland.
• Manage the reception counter and calls to the Mission.
• Ensure the decorum of the public reception area and interview room e.g. reading/information materials therein are up-to-date.
• Assist in the logistic arrangements for events organized by the Mission.

Applicants should possess the following qualifications:

• Good command of English and French. Ability to speak and understand German would be an advantage.
• University degree. Prior experience in customer service. Experience in similar immigration/consular positions would be an advantage.
• Attentive to details, able to maintain accurate records and deliver the desired outcomes in an efficient and timely manner.
• Strong verbal and written skills with the ability to interact diplomatically and professionally with individuals from different cultural backgrounds.
• Reasonable IT and Microsoft applications knowledge.
