Job Opportunity: Private Vegetarian Chef

Location: Switzerland
Start Date: End of March 2025
Salary: €100,000 net per year (before taxes)
Working Hours: 48 hours per week (on average)
Paid Leave: 4 weeks (20 working days) annually

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Private Vegetarian Chef to join a private household. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality vegetarian meals while maintaining exceptional hygiene standards and ensuring the best culinary experience for the employer’s family. Responsibilities include:

• Preparing a variety of vegetarian meals throughout the day.
• Ensuring the quality, taste, and presentation of meals.
• Adhering strictly to food safety and hygiene standards.
• Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen spaces and all cooking equipment, including dishes, on a daily basis.

Candidate Profile:

To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

• Aged 30 years or above.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a professional chef.
• Ideally holds a Swiss residence permit (C or B) or is a citizen of an EU/EFTA country.
• Specialized in vegetarian cuisine.
• Preference for candidates familiar with Indian vegetarian culture and dietary practices.
• Fluent in English or Hindi.
• Ability to work autonomously and travel with the family when required.
• Creative and innovative in menu planning and meal preparation.
• High levels of discretion and confidentiality.
• Clean criminal record required.

Working Conditions:

• The position requires flexibility to work under stress and adapt to irregular schedules.

• Occasional travel with the employer’s family may be required.
