As a Junior Private Banker in our Zurich office you will be working in the German Speaking Switzerland Team within the bank’s Wealth Management. Eager and motivated to contribute to the team’s success and to start a successful career to become a private banker.
Your role
Your responsibilities include the following:
• Develop and maintain a close and trusting long-term relationship with clients
• Support team leader & senior private bankers with management of key clients
• Analyze the wealth structure and needs of new clients
• Prepare investment proposals and solutions aligned with the client’s goals, assets and chosen investment policy
• Execute transactions, payments and other banking operations
• Set up new accounts and follow-up on administrative matters
• Meet prospects and clients, prepare client meetings and manage follow-up actions
• Maintain close collaboration with Investment Specialists and the Investment Platform to keep up-do-date with investment solutions and guidelines, and contribute to the development and implementation of a best-in-class product offering
• Control and handling of internal processes; client compliancy; data base; client files to all relevant local laws and regulatory requirements
Your profile
• Degree in banking and finance or equivalent qualification
• A post-graduate type qualification such as CFA, AZEK or equivalent would be an asset
• Minimum 3 years of private banking experience
• Highly proficient in standard IT applications as well as Bloomberg and Reuters
• Knowledgeable across asset classes and investment vehicles
• Understanding of investments, banking and trust concepts including, but not limited to: asset allocation on structured portfolios, managed portfolios, brokerage accounts, portfolio reviews, deposit and loan solutions, basic trust and identification of wealth planning opportunities
• Extremely client and solutions-oriented as well as a proactive mindset
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
• Ability to demonstrate negotiating skills
• Fluent in German and English, French skills are a plus
