The British School of Geneva, the only English National Curriiculum offering school in Geneva, seeks a Teaching Assistant with immediate effect for start on the 26th August 2024. We are now seeking applications from Teaching Assistants to work both alongside our mainstream teachers and to provide one to one and small group Support lessons for students within our Special Education Needs programme.

We are an international school community with over 60 nationalities represented across the school. We are an English language Curriculum school with a Swiss-French language community represented within our school along with students from across the world.

This position is to provide one to one and small group support to students aged between 12 and 18.

Our working week is Monday - Friday 08.00 to 16.00 with an earlier finish on Wednesday (14.40). The position is offered on a 100% Contract basis.

The succesful candidate will work within a team of Teaching Assistants in both Primary and Secondary, all reporting to the whole school Special Education Needs Coordinator (SENCO).

The ability to understand and provide meaningful, tangible support for individual students is vital in the succesful fulfilment of this position.

The ability to maintain accurate records on an ongoing basis is a requirement.

The ability to communciate clearly and appropriately through English is a requirement.

Prior qualifications should be provided with application.

Safeguarding and Child Protection are fundamental to all that we do. All candidates must provide a 10 year checkback proof of Caisier du Justice or International Child Protection Certificate clearance AND two written References prior to the commencement of any position at the British School of Geneva.
