GOALS:
- Lead the integrated India development strategy through effective collaboration with China Asia Development Teams (CADTs) and India LOC, and oversee the execution of the development strategy.
- Continue to strengthen development expertise in India through establishing internal capabilities and external network for the purpose of accelerating global and regional development programs.
- Serve as the Country Matter Expert, to guide and support TDC Asia for accessing local ecosystem and advice on local specific complexities.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Optimization of integrated India development strategy and oversee of execution of the development strategy:
- Work closely with CADTs to optimize integrated India development strategy for pipeline assets.
- Identify changes in the national regulatory environment and proactively collaborate with CADTs to adopt innovation into Asia development strategy.
- Monitor overall country performance and support country focused activities e.g. feasibility and site selections to deliver country operational milestones.
- Maintain expert knowledge of clinical development and regulatory landscape in the country.
- Collaborate closely with India LOC to execute Enterprise Engagement model in India including tapping into local expertise and community networks.
- Engage study investigators in discussion to maintain focus on Takeda’s clinical trials.
- Proactively build strong collaborative networks among investigators in the country and identify current and future investigators within Takeda portfolio and proactively share with the CADTs.
Lead India development team:
- Build, manage/oversee and engage the India development members
- Provide guidance for team career development, well-being and effective integration as part of TDC Asia organization with shared purpose
Serving as Country Matter Expert:
- Be a strong advocate for Takeda R&D in India in collaboration with India LOC; serve as local bridge for any future opportunities in engaging India innovation ecosystem.
- Point for escalation for resolution of complex country related issues & risk and serve as a site escalation point for investigator concerns.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Advanced degree in a scientific/healthcare field required.
- 5 or more years of people management experience in healthcare area.
- 10 or more years of drug development in the pharmaceutical industry or clinical research organization.
- Experience in more than one therapeutic area is required.
- Good understanding of global regulatory and compliance requirements for clinical research, including but not limited to ICH GCP. Awareness of local country requirements is also required.
- Solid teamwork, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; exercises good judgment with respect to Takeda confidential information and strategies.
- Fluent business English (oral and written) and medical writing skills.
