Broker (m/f/d) - Property Insurance
What can you expect?
This position is part of Bowring Marsh, our specialist global wholesale broking division dedicated to supporting the Marsh network. We connect international markets through regional placement hubs to deliver insurance capacity to Marsh clients, working as an extension of the local service team. In addition to capacity support and risk transfer solutions, we provide benchmarking and claims advocacy, wherever your clients are in the world. We use our global portfolio experience, technical expertise, relationships with decision makers, and our industry knowledge to innovate, customize, and design solutions.
As Broker in Zurich, you will be responsible for placing and managing a portfolio of North American property placements in the Swiss/European insurance market.

We will count on you to:
Manage more complex medium to large North American property accounts / transactions with regular client contact
Negotiate coverage terms, conditions and price with insurance companies
Develop strong working relationships with Swiss/European property underwriters and contributing to assigned market relationship management activities
Manage small to medium sized strategic North American client relationships and their interaction with Swiss/European insurance carriers
Provide advice and technical support to US and Canadian retail/producing offices regarding Swiss/European insurance environment and specific capabilities of individual markets
Develop new, North American property business opportunities in conjunction with US & Canadian retail/producing offices
Conduct marketing trips to the US and Canada in order to communicate office value proposition and meet with current and prospect clients
Oversee post placement activities conducted by Associate Brokers, including execution of binding documents, policy wording, endorsements and billings
Assist Management in the completion of monthly and quarterly management reports
What you need to have:
Commercial apprenticeship or equivalent education
4-5 years insurance industry experience (risk management / broker / (re)insurance company) preferably in the North American Property space
Advanced English knowledge
Proven record of providing high level of quality service to clients, colleagues, markets and vendors
Flexibility to adapt to different approaches or styles to situations
