The Position
Role Purpose:
Digitalization in healthcare is of increasing importance to patients, healthcare professionals,
payers and the shaping of healthcare. As CVM Business Solution Lead you will contribute to Roche’s strategy and leadership in the newly established Customer Area Digital Development Services through internal programs that span established Roche Divisions and Business Areas as well as via external collaborations and partnerships.
The Digital Development Services organization within RIS is accountable for the development and delivery of new digital solutions to complement our RDS and Pharma portfolio to enhance the value for patients, labs and healthcare professionals and improve patient care.
The CVM Solutions Business Lead will play a key strategic role representing Digital Development Services across the enterprise to meet current and future healthcare needs in a rapidly-evolving environment and establishing an effective collaboration between RIS and the Pharma team working on cardiovascular and metabolic (CVM) medicines. You will report to the Head of Digital Development Services and determine the appropriate level of support for various initiatives, secure resources to drive implementation, and monitor ongoing engagements in Cardiovascular and Metabolic across Pharma and Diagnostics.
You will be responsible to:
- Lead or co-lead cross-functional teams to accelerate Pharma and/or Dia products to have a digital strategy embedded to maximize the overall commercial success of our solutions.
- Coordinate with the cardiometabolic disease area network to align integrated solutions across Diagnostics and Pharma.
- Understand and identify innovation potentials that address unmet needs within CVM patient journeys and addressing business needs to drive value.
- Work with various functions such as Roche Pharma and Diagnostics like Strategy and Partnering, Customer Areas, Commercial to co-create holistic integrated and interoperable solutions that meet these unmet needs and offer a competitive advantage for Roche.
- Support Roche and Digital Development Services with market and industry guidance in the rapidly changing market of CVM medicines and the associated players.
- Maintain global customer, market and competitive situational awareness and translate that into effective business and portfolio strategies and counter measures.
- Manage internal and external relationships and communication with thought leaders in relevant disciplines and represent Digital Development Services and Roche in Industry groups and consortium initiatives.
- May perform other duties as required or assigned.
Your profile:
- Education: Professional or science-based advanced degree preferred
- Professional experience/duration: 10+ years of experience working in Healthcare, Healthcare IT or digital health, Diagnostics, or Life Sciences
- Specialist knowledge: Experience with complex, multi-component digital products a plus, including working with Engineering and Data teams.
- Strong vision for digital solutions in Cardiovascular and Metabolic (CVM) and a clear passion to deliver improved solutions to our Patients, Providers, and Payer customers
- Proven experience in building digital solutions in relevant fields of cardio-vascular or metabolic indications in either diagnostics or pharmaceutical industries
- Experience building strong and agile teams who can meet the needs of multiple, matrixed internal stakeholders.
- In-depth expertise in digital field for applications, platforms and marketplaces in the healthcare sector
- Managed complex projects with ambitious milestones in high pressure circumstances
- Experience challenging senior management in relation to science, data and resources
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements
- Proven expertise interpreting complex data sets (scientific, business, financial) and scientific/clinical publications advantageous
- Knowledge of the reimbursement environment
- Uses professional concepts to contribute to the development of company strategy and to achieve objectives in creative and effective ways.
Locations
You will be based in Basel or Rotkreuz. At the Company's discretion, an exception to the location requirement could be made under extraordinary circumstances.
