The Opportunity

As a Cross Country Compliance Leader based in Basel, Switzerland, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to global compliance standards across APAC, Europe and LATAM. You will collaborate with affiliates to identify synergies, build networks, and streamline processes, ensuring that compliance efforts align with business objectives and support organisational growth. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and implementing effective compliance frameworks, mitigating risks, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

You will report to the Head of Compliance Eu Nth/Sth and work closely with the Heads of Compliance for APAC and LATAM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Culture of Integrity: Foster a strong culture of integrity and ethical business practices throughout APAC, Europe and LATAM, promoting compliance awareness and adherence to company policies.

  • Compliance Network: Foster a collaborative compliance network within the organization, driving synergies, identifying shared solutions, addressing common challenges, and cultivating a strong sense of community among compliance professionals.

  • Business Enablement: Provide strategic compliance advice to support efficient and compliant business operations, identifying opportunities for process improvement and risk mitigation.

  • Global policy, processes and tools implementation: support the effective implementation of global compliance policies and directives, tools and processes, assisting local compliance officer to adapt them to local regulatory requirements and business needs.

  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks, implementing proactive measures to prevent and address issues across countries and geographies.

  • Investigations and Remediation: Support the investigation of compliance-related issues, implement appropriate corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.

Who you are

  • Ethical Leader: Committed to maintaining high ethical standards and fostering a culture of integrity.

  • Compliance Expert: Deep understanding of pharmaceutical regulations in sales, marketing, medical affairs, and healthcare, with at least 3 years experience in Compliance or similar function.

  • Problem Solver: Capable of quickly understanding and analysing complex situations to find pragmatic solutions and embracing a proactive and hands-on approach to compliance initiatives.

  • Relationship Builder: Adept at fostering collaborative relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and external parties across diverse cultural backgrounds to drive compliance initiatives.

  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in both written and spoken English is required. Proficiency in Spanish is a valuable asset.

Travel Requirements: 10-20%
