This role is based in the Workforce Optimization (WFO) AoP within our Integrated Workforce Strategies Chapter in People & Culture. The team is elevating the way the business is shaping Roche’s workforce. By applying data-driven, skill-based workforce solutions and acting as trusted partners in defining workforce strategies, the team unlocks the strategic potential of our total workforce (including our external partners), navigates the evolving business landscape to proactively shape Roche’s workforce to be future ready. Shaping new practices in this field, working with innovative approaches and technologies as well as cross-functional partners offers you great learning opportunities.
The Opportunity

you enable informed decision making of the business with your expertise in skills, external & total workforce and data-driven workforce planning

you support business needs from diagnosis to definition of recommendations (e.g. workforce composition set-ups, location strategies and addressing future skill needs) together with People & Culture Business Partners and our cross-functional partners (Procurement, Finance)

you support on the implementation of workforce strategies and the connect to relevant experts in the P&C and Roche network

you identify common themes across the Roche group (e.g. shared need, gaps and solutions) and actively contribute to an enterprise view on skill & workforce needs

you successfully adopt our data-driven, skills-based and total workforce approaches of our WFO products while advising on business needs & workforce strategies, and apply your knowledge of internal & external best practices

you are actively contributing with new ideas, feedback and sensing to the further evolution of our current products and/or to the definition of future products for our practice

you might also contribute to other priorities supporting our roadmap to build and scale our practice, e.g. regarding data integration, technology advancements, change management and/or education
Who you are
-
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field, with experience in global, matrixed People & Culture roles.

You are skilled in workforce planning, people strategies, and change management, including total and external workforce planning.

You have strong business acumen across various environments and experience partnering with business areas.

You excel in consulting, diagnosing complex problems, and translating data into actionable solutions.

You bring system thinking, a OneRoche mindset, and the ability to influence and engage stakeholders effectively.

You can adapt to diverse needs and navigate ambiguity, contributing to positive customer experiences.

You effectively collaborate and lead cross-functional teams, providing clear direction and facilitating decision-making.

You are known for your motivation, collaborative style, high social competence, and fluency in English. Awareness of legal risks, including co-employment issues, is preferred, and extensive experience is valued.
