Position Overview
The Investor Relations Manager is responsible for working closely with the head of Investor Relations to complete a range of duties to support the organization’s investor relations initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to, preparing presentations, developing external communication materials, analyzing investor activities, maintaining aspects of the investor relations website, coordinating investor engagement events, and responding to inquiries from shareholders, potential investors, and sell-side analysts.
This role will have direct contact to Wall Street for the company by educating and updating investors and analysts. Investors should have confidence that the Investor Relations Manager speaks on behalf of the company, represents the company in meetings with investors and can deliver presentations. Internally, the Investor Relations Manager collaborates with executive leadership and provides the shareholder perspective on corporate strategy and actions.
Essential Duties
include but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and update investor marketing materials including press releases, investor presentations, FAQ’s, fact sheets, etc.
- Assist with written communications including the company’s quarterly earnings press release and prepared remarks for the earning calls.
- Anticipate shareholder questions and prepare proactive and reactive talking points to address them.
- Help coordinate logistics and develop supporting communications materials for investor conferences, non-deal road shows, earnings calls, and investor meetings.
- Analyze and present financial trends, competitor behavior, and shareholder issues that could impact the company. Monitors performance metrics for the investor relations function.
- Contribute to the investor relations strategy and framework with fact-based conclusions and market insights.
- Recommend optimal type and mix of shareholders and help create that mix through a variety of targeting initiatives.
- Monitor operational changes through ongoing contacts with company management and develop investor relations messages based on these changes.
- Create a strong reputation by demonstrating consistent and clear communication between internal and external parties.
- Field inquiries from sell-side analysts, investors and potential investors, and respond appropriately or forward to designated points of contact within the company.
- Provide up-to-date information about the company’s operations and financial statements to current and potential shareholders, as well as third party equity research analysts.
- Help with the production of annual proxy statement.
- Manage development and publication of annual environmental, social, and governance (ESG) report.
- Develop content for the investor relations portion of the company web site, maintain regular updates and check for accuracy.
- Exhibit extremely strong communication (verbal, written, graphical) skills, as well as the ability to develop and maintain business relationships.
- Self-starter, ability to work under pressure and tight timeframes and possess strong analytical capabilities.
- Ability to successfully collaborate with colleagues and customers from a wide variety of disciplines across the organization at many different levels.
- Ability to effectively lead and participate in cross-functional project teams.
- Critical thinking skills, along with high attention to detail, are required to plan and prioritize project activities for maximum leverage, impact, and return on investment.

- Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 80% of a typical working day.
- Ability to travel 10% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Communications, Economics, or related field with 7 years of work experience in, public relations, accounting, or other related business or financial field OR an MBA with 3 years of experience within investment banking, equity research or investment management OR Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience within investment banking, equity research or investment management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience using Tableau or other data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of financial reports, analytic methods, and financial data tools.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-3 years’ experience within investment banking, equity research or investment management
- Experience with a publicly traded company that operated under the regulatory framework regarding investor information disclosure laws.
- Experience in healthcare or diagnostics industry.
- Basic knowledge of the stock market, capital markets, and public companies.
Salary Range:
$109,000.00 - $174,000.00The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually.
