For the support of our department within the Depositary Bank / Investment Compliance in Zurich we are looking for a Head Representative and Paying Agency.

This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for

As Head Representative and Paying Agency you will

  • Support in negotiating and drafting agreements such as Representative, Paying Agent or Distribution Agreements
  • Examination of fund prospectuses including contracts for collective investment schemes under foreign and Swiss law
  • Preparation and submission of applications to FINMA regarding the representation of foreign collective investment schemes
  • Support with KYC/AML verification of customers
  • Independently answering legal questions from customers with the support of the Legal Team
  • Clarify new laws and their impact on the bank's everyday business
  • Support in the implementation of new laws and, in some cases, selective monitoring of individual regulatory projects
  • Help with the implementation of new laws, guidelines or general changes in the financial center into the business process
  • Control of fund documents such as prospectuses, fund contracts, KIIDs and annual reports as well as marketing documents
  • Independent support of customers
  • Support in developing a strategy for customer acquisition in the area of agent and paying agent business
  • Supporting the invoicing and administrative process
  • Responsibility of the Representative and Paying Agent department
  • Team leadership
  • Managing relationships with existing customers and potential customers
  • Relationship and reporting to management
  • Regular contact and consultation with the local legal manager
  • Participation to different meetings (regulatory meeting)

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a custodian bank or/and in portfolio compliance, investment controlling, risk- or asset management.
  • Good understanding of the general investment environment, different investment instruments and markets.
  • Knowledge in the Swiss legal and regulatory environment (KAG/KKV/KKV-FINMA/BVV2)
  • Fluent in German (written and spoken) and advanced knowledge of English
