Come and join the Building X Platform Developer Enablement Team. Building X is a scalable digital building platform to digitalize, manage and optimize building operations, allowing for enhanced user experience, increased performance, and improved sustainability.
The Developer Enablement Team empowers BX developers to leverage BX Platform Core Cloud Services effectively and autonomously through education, support, tools and resources, enabling them to build scalable, resilient, and efficient cloud-based solutions.

The Role
The Building X Platform Developer Success Engineer will play a key role in enhancing the developer experience for users of the Building X platform. This role is dedicated to supporting developers as they integrate, build, and deploy solutions on the Building X platform, ensuring a smooth and efficient development process. The Developer Success Engineer will act as the bridge between the platform's technical capabilities and the developers utilizing it, providing guidance, support, and best practices
The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, developer advocacy, and has a strong background in software development and platform engineering. They should be a problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product improvements and elevate the overall developer experience
Location: While our preferred location is the Siemens Smart Infrastructure headquarters inZug, Switzerland, we are open to candidates based in other key locations within the EU, USA and APAC
Your new responsibilities
- Provide expert technical support to developers building on the Building X platform, ensuring they have the guidance and resources needed to successfully develop, integrate, and deploy solutions
- Conduct hands-on debugging, code reviews, and troubleshooting for complex issues encountered by developers
- Create and maintain developer guides, API documentation, tutorials, and other resources to enhance the learning experience and ease of development
- Collaborate closely with Developer Advocate and the engineering and product teams to identify and prioritize enhancements, bug fixes, and feature requests based on developer feedback and usage patterns
- Build sample applications, proof-of-concepts, and demos to showcase the platform's capabilities and provide developers with code samples and templates for common use cases
- Work with Solution Design and Customer Success teams to ensure that developers have a seamless experience throughout their journey with Building X
Your talents and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field
- 10 years plus of experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of software development concepts, programming languages, web technologies, APIs, cloud platforms and developer tools
- Genuine empathy for developers and a strong desire to advocate and support their needs within the Building X Platform
- Experience working in a complex environment, working with multinational teams across the world.
- Experience providing support to developers, from solution design to coding
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and engage with developers and cross-functional teams
- Open-minded, people and service oriented. Able to establish partnerships, collaborate with external organizations, and represent the organization positively in the developer community
- Desire to learn about state-of-the-art Technologies, Methodologies and Cloud
- A genuine passion for technology, innovation, and the developer community
- Fluent in English
