The PM will plan, budget, report and track the project throughout the delivery lifecycle, using standard project governance workflow tools, adhering to all the project stage gates and document requirements. They will be required to direct the activities of technical staff, who will scope, design and implement the work.
YOUR MISSION :
- Management of one or more concurrent projects involving Infrastructure Services (for example, storage and compute, networking, end user computing, identity management, cloud services), locally, regionally or globally across the organisation.
- Deliver projects on time, on budget and on scope, according to the Sponsor and customer requirements.
- Ensure delivery into production does not impact operations or Quality of Service.
- Establish and actively manage relationships with project stakeholders at all levels.
- Assist in the definition and documentation of project scope, objectives, time line and budget.
- Prepare and maintain up-to-date project plans and budget forecasts for all aspects of the project delivery and actively monitor project progress and actuals throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare high quality project plans, ‘plan on a page’ and status for executive reporting.
- Prepare and chair regular project meetings, Steering Committees and produce agendas and meeting minutes.
- Establish formal and informal communications plans for each project.
- Plan and coordinate resources across multiple providers both internal and external. Rapidly assimilate the level of technical knowledge and resources required for each assigned project.
- Capture and actively manage risks, issues and dependencies throughout project planning and execution. Notify stakeholders of risks and issues; work with the team on risk mitigation strategies, and escalate when necessary to resolve issues and blockers.
- Develop and refine project cost estimates and manage and report on budget actuals vs forecast for the life of each project.
- Manage the project scope under tight change control. Prepare and seek approval for project change requests for changes to project scope, schedule or costs.
- Deliver projects adhering to AXA’s Project Management Standards and Governance Frameworks. Provide supporting evidence of adherence to standards when requested.
- Actively drive progress by coordinating, leading and challenging the technical resources.
- Work with technical resources and management to confirm and resolve priority issues when demand exceeds capacity.
- Ensure proper hand over to BAU support and stakeholder sign-off before project is closed.
- Manage third-party vendor project engagements including preparation of Statement of Work (SOW) and purchase requisitions and ensuring invoices are approved and coded to the project as required.
Setup and manage project collaboration sites in Sharepoint or Teams.
This role will directly report to the European and XL Project Manager Pool Lead in IT Transformation and Performance Management, along with reporting lines into programme managers across AXA Group Operations.Your Profile
YOUR PROFILE :
- Must be fluent and articulate in English (professional - written and verbal).
- At least 8 years of experience in IT and at least 5 years of experience in IT project management on mid-large scale projects.
- Experience in delivering infrastructure services projects, i.e. exhibit a working knowledge of Infrastructure technologies.
- PMP or Prince2 Certification (or equivalent) is required, including experience in Agile project delivery.
Experienced in delivering concurrent projects of various sizes and complexities, throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in order to effectively convey project status, issues and risks with stakeholders and project team members at all levels, including Execs.
- Experienced at presenting to senior stakeholders and end-users to foster success.
- Ability to describe complex technical plans and requirements to senior stakeholders in simple terms.
- High degree of planning and organizational skills, as well as effective time management in order to meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve key issues and blockers.
- Ability to look for quick wins, tactical approaches and ways to reduce risk.
- Accustomed to working within a customer/supplier environment.
- Ability to work with little direct supervision and work effectively, often remotely, in a team environment where project teams are not co-located.
- Advanced working knowledge of Project Management methodologies, tools and MS-Office Suite required.
- Working knowledge of Visio, PPM tools, Procure-to-Pay and Financial tracking tools a plus.
- Ability to convey a positive 'can-do' attitude and a sense of urgency amongst team members.
- Ability to perform tasks according to established procedures, using discretion to ensure objectives are met most effectively.
- Provides innovative solutions to problems based on strong understanding of business objectives.
