British American Tobacco UK has an exciting opportunity for a Senior PDM Manager - Systems Specialist in Southampton
What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?
Ongoing test and validation of the Teamcenter PDM system, ensuring the system is running as designed. Working with the users, PDM CoE and Super Users to define and test and implement the regular continuous improvement program. Lead ongoing system upgrade programs from a CoE perspective, that will occur circa every 18-24 months. Ongoing maintenance, operational support, and management of the Teamcenter materials library and classification platform, enabling Teamcenter materials to be applied across BAT and its Teamcenter embedded suppliers.
This will involve working with the global Teamcenter support and administration teams, helping to ensure data quality does not compromise system operating performance or security.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Work together with required SMEs to ensure SOPs are up to date for managing component libraries & classifications in Teamcenter.
- Have a good understanding of the ADO system – for creating and maintaining test scripts.
- Be focused in the regular system checks to maintain system security.
- Ensure data standards for creation of parts, materials and components are maintained and adhered to.
- Support the definition and embedding of the Teamcenter library & classification ways of working and SOP’s.
- Build and maintain visible relationship with super-user community.
- Work with the Senior PDM Team Manager to support enhancements through appropriate technology provider(s)
- Support the deployment of Teamcenter enhancements/upgrades to the global users.
What are we looking for?
- Experience in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and device engineering.
- Extensive engineering materials knowledge.
- Basic understanding of the Engineering Analysis processes, and what engineering properties are needed to make this function from a PDM perspective.
- In-depth and proven knowledge of BAT Teamcenter (functional design and capabilities, system processes and ways of working, user manuals, SOP’s, Teamcenter administration)
- Extensive knowledge in Engineering Materials and their properties.
- Ability to quickly grasp new concepts.
- Ability to work independently when required.
- Creation & Maintenance on mechanical CAD library and electrical CAD library in Multiple CAD systems.
