We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our External Manufacturing Consumables team. In this role, you will support the Sourcing Manager with day-to-day procurement operations, supplier management, and process optimization.
The Sourcing Manager leads procurement activities and supplier management within Global Operations Consumables, focusing on negotiating, contracting, and optimizing supplier performance. They work closely with the Category Management team to drive key initiatives such as cost-saving and process improvements, ensuring that all procurement activities adhere to category guidance and internal policies. The Sourcing Manager plays a critical role in collaborating with stakeholders and suppliers, leveraging procurement systems like SAP to meet end-user needs, enhance supplier performance, and support continuous improvement across the supply chain.

This internship position is located in Rotkreuz, Switzerland.
Key Responsibilities

Assist the Sourcing Manager in executing procurement activities, including supplier performance tracking and KPIs monitoring, managing sourcing-mix, forecast monitoring, contract management, and driving cost-saving initiatives.

Assist in identifying areas for process improvement and efficiency in procurement operations.

Assist the External Manufacturing Procurement team in organizational topics

Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to gather and analyze data for sourcing decisions.

Support in preparing, reviewing, and managing contracts, purchase orders, and other procurement-related documentation.

Help manage and update procurement systems (e.g., SAP) with accurate supplier data and contract information.

Contribute to supplier performance reviews and monitor KPIs to ensure compliance and alignment with business goals.

Participate in meetings with suppliers and internal teams by tracking agendas and taking minutes, while gaining exposure to negotiations and supplier management strategies.
Who You Are
You are enrolled or have completed your Bachelor’s or Master’s studies at a university, preferably in the field of Supply Chain Management, Business, Procurement, or a related field after February 2024 and are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship.

Technical details:
The start date for the internship is March 2025 with a duration of 12 months.
Part-time employment is not possible.
If required, it is possible to write a thesis during the internship.
The application deadline is November 11th. Interviews will take place in late November and early December.
