The Architecture Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzes system / application architecture; ensures that architecture conforms to enterprise blueprints.
- Designing scalable data architecture that support analytical needs including data modeling, integration, and storage solution.
- Researches and produces standards documents.
- Develops technology road maps, while keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies, and recommends business directions based on these technologies
- Collaborate with data engineer and analysts to ensure that the data architecture enables effective reporting, dashboarding, and advanced analytics capabilities.
- Data governance principles such as data quality, security and compliance are embedded within data architecture and analytics workflow.
- Work on development of data pipelines that integrate data from various systems for analytics and reporting, ensuring the accuracy and availability of data for decision making.
- Understand and create data classification, metadata management and implementation of data governance framework.
- Collaborate with data analysts and business teams to understand their requirement and ensure the data architecture aligns with the business goals.
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data architecture, analytics, and governments to drive continuous improvement within the organization. E
- Exhibits sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information.
- Requires sophisticated analytical thought to resolve issues in a variety of complex situations
- Acts as an advisor or mentor to junior team members
- Performs other job duties and functions as assigned
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of overall experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in relevant data architecture, Data analytics are data governance.
- Strong experience with data-based technologies ( Example SQL, no SQL relational database, cloud based cloud based databases) and data modeling methodologies (e.g. star schema, snowflake schema)
- Proficiency with data analytics tools and platform (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, etc.) to support the analytics needs.
- Strong understanding of metadata management, master data management and data lineage.
- Familiarity with data governance tools like Collibra.
- Knowledge of data governance principle including data quality management, data security and compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skill with the ability to work with data from various sources and systems.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Effective communication and collaboration skill to work with data analyst engineers and business stakeholders.
- Eagerness to learn and stay current with the latest technologies in the data architecture, analytics and governance
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
