The Individual
The hiring ethos of the department is “Bright People Who Get Things Done.” So, whilst it is likely that the successful candidate does have experience in several of the above areas, resourcefulness, aptitude, hunger to drive change and delivery focus are more important than a specific current skillset. Experience in financial markets is necessary, as is an eagerness to close any knowledge gaps in this area.
Man is a diverse and complex organisation, and technology powers every part of it, so the ability to connect and communicate with professionals in every discipline and at every level of seniority is important. The successful candidate will prioritise the team and the firm’s best interests and be prepared to turn their hand to whatever is needed to ensure the smooth running of the department. They will focus on the growth and career development of their team and have a demonstratable track record of positive DE&I impact.
The successful candidate will have lived experience of the challenges of building and delivering technology, perhaps gained through coding, or managing engineering teams in early career. Comfort with data driven analysis and decision making, confidence in excel and power point are essential.
Location
London based, with an expectation of 3 days per week in the office. Ability for occasional travel to other office locations in the UK, US, Europe, and Asia.
