Leveraging our parent company MSC Group`s hundreds of years of maritime expertise, our fleet of six luxury ships (four currently in the pipeline) have been designed and built in a totally different and unique way that transforms and redefines the luxury cruise experience, creating a category of its own, appealing to the next generation of luxury travelers.

The VP Commercial Strategy & Management will drive Cruise Revenue in the US, Canada and Mexico for Explora Journeys. Reporting to the President of Explora Journeys in the US, with a dotted line to the global President at the head office in Geneva, this role will focus on fostering growth and profitability in both direct channels and trade partnerships, aligning with global goals and strategy. You will be tasked with developing & optimizing strategies to drive traffic to all sales channels and work with sales channel owners to maximize bookings and cruise revenues.

Maximize North America commercial performance across marketing and sales distribution channels

Drive growth, effectiveness and profitability of both direct channels (web, inbound phone, outbound phone) and trade channels (travel agent partners and consortia), setting targets and managing resources and mix as needed to optimize performance.

Work closely with Revenue Management to develop promotional strategy and promotion assets to be used across various channels

Own overall channel management strategy. Lead multi-channel initiatives and performance in close collaboration with HQ and North America sales channel teams.

Design, develop, execute and optimize promotions across all channels.

Collaborate with analytics & revenue teams, ensuring that strategies are informed by data-driven insights.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including sales channel owners, vendors and partners, to drive collaboration and ensure all initiatives complement corporate brand marketing strategy

Lead, mentor, coach and develop local team, including Integrated Marketing and Commercial Analysis direct reports

Significant experience and successful track record developing and executing commercial strategies across sales and marketing for consumer brands, driving revenue growth and enhancing market positioning

Strong relevant experience with branded consumer experience brands highly preferred, ideally in cruise, travel or hospitality, or in analogous sectors such as financial services or entertainment

Strong relevant experience in luxury sector preferred, ideally in luxury cruise/travel, luxury hospitality or other luxury services/experiences

Proven track record optimizing distribution channels through effective sales and marketing actions, to drive profitable growth.

Knowledge of market trends and consumer behavior analysis, with a track record of driving growth through targeted initiatives

Significant leadership experience, accustomed to managing high performing teams across functions and levels, and interacting closely with senior executives

Demonstrated ability to utilize data driven insights to inform strategic decisions and optimize performance.

Familiarity with promotional strategy design, execution, and optimization across various platforms.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics or adjacent analytical disciplines, plus MBA preferred, from highly competitive academic institutions

Proven track record of strong performance and career progression in high-performing businesses and/or management consulting firms known for attracting and developing great talent

Strong strategy development, problem solving and analytical skills

Demonstrated tenacity, perseverance and grit

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a proven track record of effective teamwork across functions and levels

Ability to be assertive and operate with a sense of urgency, making data-based recommendations and influencing others with an expert point of view

Strong curiosity and passion for continually learning about the luxury guest and uncovering new means to reach and engage him/her

Comfortable working with cross functional teams within a multi-national company across multiple time zones

Able to work in Miami, FL with a hybrid 2-3 days / week in-office schedule.
