The Temporary Performance and Quality Control Manager will play a pivotal role in the development, implementation, and oversight of project portfolios funded by major environmental finance mechanisms. The position ensures that projects meet strategic, technical, and compliance standards, while supporting the delivery of high-quality results.

Missions
The role involves liaising with internal and external stakeholders, providing strategic guidance and capacity building, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and international environmental standards. Additionally, the Manager will contribute to continuous improvement in project design, implementation, and monitoring processes to maximize impact and promote the organization's role as a leading implementing agency in global environmental finance.
Quality Assurance: Project Design Stage
- Review and provide strategic inputs to projects at all stages of design.
- Liaise with Portfolio Managers and Regional Directors to ensure timely feedback.
- Ensure projects comply with funding requirements, policies, and guidelines.
- Coordinate with corporate units, regional programs, and centers to ensure compliance and guide improvements.
- Ensure consistent and adequate information on funding requirements, including policy updates and timelines.
Quality Assurance: Project Implementation Stage
- Lead the coordination of annual submission processes, ensuring documents meet quality standards and compliance timelines.
- Track and coordinate the timely submission of key monitoring and evaluation reports.
- Provide critical feedback and ensure compliance on mid-term reviews and terminal evaluations for projects under implementation.
Profil du candidat
- Education: Master's degree in environmental management, project management, program evaluation, or a related field.
- Experience & Technical Skills:
- Deep knowledge of major environmental mechanisms is critical.
- Minimum 10 years of experience managing large, complex natural resource management programs.
- Demonstrated technical understanding and expertise across relevant themes and issues.
- Ability to interact with and mobilize private sector partners.
- Background in program monitoring and evaluation is an asset.
- Experience in results-based management, including fiduciary matters, environmental and social safeguards, and monitoring and evaluation.
- Knowledge of international environmental conventions and the organization is an asset.
- Strong professional network with donors and technical partners is an asset.
- Language Proficiency: English required; French and Spanish desirable.
