We are seeking a talented individual to join our Global Investments team at Mercer. This role will be based in multiple offices in the US, Canada and western Europe. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. The Global Head of Real Assets will provide leadership of our Infrastructure, Real Estate and other Real Assets investment strategies, manager relationships and investment professionals and will play a leading role in supporting the continued growth of our private markets business across the investment continuum of research, advice and solutions.
We will count on you to:
- Lead and manage a large team of global investment professionals, focusing on coaching and empowering them to deliver value-added research, investment performance, and risk management for advisory and discretionary client portfolios.
- Collaborate with institutional clients to develop and implement customized advice and solutions, including “Extension of Staff” advisory services in all areas of Real Assets.
- Drive thought leadership by contributing to the development of Mercer’s intellectual capital on investment themes, particularly the role of Real Assets in asset allocation and risk management.
- Oversee the creation of innovative Real Assets products and solutions, articulating Mercer’s value proposition to drive successful client outcomes and growth.
- Ensure effective portfolio implementation and risk management, advancing new investment opportunities while maintaining oversight of Real Assets Investment and Ratings Review Committees.
What you need to have:
- Proven experience in leading investment teams, particularly in Real Assets, with a strong track record in coaching and talent development.
- Extensive knowledge of private markets, including Infrastructure and Real Estate investment strategies.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment themes and solutions to diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of representing Mercer in industry forums and client engagements.

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $224,000 to $336,000.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
