PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
This position is responsible for managing Richemont brand and growth strategy in collaboration with the management of Richemont and Avolta Global Category Team, including assortment plans, vendor relations, exclusive product development, seasonal OTB (where applicable) confirmation and merchandise plans and achievement of the financial objectives. Implementation responsibility is shared with the Country General Manager and Stores & Operations Managers. The position holder models exceptional service and ensures that the store team members are embodying the Richemont Maisons’ spirit. This position reports into the Global Category Management Director and is based in Basel, Switzerland.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Brand Management and Financial Targets

Builds and maintains strong, trust-based partnerships with Richemont Maisons, ensuring brand support for new business and store opportunities across the Avolta network

Serves as the central point for brand relationships, coordinating with the Avolta Global Category Team and Store & Operational Managers

Manages relationships to navigate all Maison-related topics, in collaboration with the Avolta Global Category Team

Leads commercial negotiations to drive business development and profitability, promoting mutually beneficial agreements to maximize GM% and Operating Income

Provides vision, leadership, and creativity to align the Maison’s business with overall brand and Avolta strategies

Collaborates with the category team to set financial objectives and targets for the Maison, analyzing financials to identify further opportunities

Ensures strategy components are linked and consistent globally and by region/division
Financials, Business Analysis and Merchandising

Achieves category sales, gross margin, and turnover targets

Resolves financial planning issues

Identifies and acts on opportunities from seasonal trends, customer profiles, and location specifics

Coordinates operational tasks as the voice of Richemont

Leads Store Managers in developing and executing merchandising strategies for mono- and multi branded boutiques, understanding brand priorities and products

Executes sales plans in cooperation with the country organizations and confirms Seasonal Open To Buys with Avolta and Richemont teams

Manages inventory, monitors stock levels and handles restocking needs

Negotiates and manages stock returns / swaps on low performing stock

Controls annual maintenance CAPEX, training, and buying trips

Ensures inventory management, visual merchandising and store maintenance meet Richemont's luxury standards

Monitors and coordinates store maintenance with technical teams

Manages account reconciliation with finance teams

Implements and enforces Maisons' brand policies and standards

Participates in recruiting, integrating, and training sales staff on product knowledge and customer service in cooperation with the country organizations

Mentors and serves as a role model for team members and cross-functional partners
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Proven experience in luxury retail, brand promotion and team leadership, with a strong focus on Watches & Jewelry products

Exceptional knowledge of the luxury Watches & Jewelry as well as the Fashion industry and market trends

Extensive background in Category Management in the Luxury industry

Strong interpersonal skills – problem solving mindset – ability to multitask effectively

Outstanding communication in English and either French or German, both written and verbal

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
