We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Specialist on Internal Controls over Sustainability Reporting to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the internal control framework and methodology for the company's sustainability reporting. As new regulations, such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), come into effect, this position will ensure compliance with these requirements and establish robust control mechanisms to enhance the quality, accuracy, and reliability of our sustainability disclosures.
The Opportunity:

Develop and implement a comprehensive internal control framework over sustainability reporting, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, including CSRD.

Collaborate closely with sustainability, finance, compliance and legal teams in the process design to capture, validate, and report sustainability data, ensuring compliance with reporting standards.

Conduct risk assessments and gap analyses of current sustainability reporting processes and controls.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and continuously improve reporting processes.

Lead the development of internal control documentation, including policies, procedures, and control matrices, specifically focused on sustainability reporting.

Provide training and guidance to internal teams on sustainability reporting requirements and best practices for internal controls.

Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in sustainability reporting regulations, frameworks, and standards.
Who you are:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Sustainability, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA, ESG certifications) are a plus.

3-5 years of experience in internal controls, sustainability reporting, or financial compliance.

Strong knowledge of sustainability reporting standards (CSRD, GRI, SASB, TCFD, etc.) and regulatory requirements.

Proven experience in developing and implementing internal control frameworks, preferably in a sustainability or financial reporting context.

Excellent project management, organizational, and analytical skills, with attention to detail.

Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders.

Strong communication skills to train and guide internal teams on controls and reporting.
