An experienced Manager directly responsible to represent Global Supply Chain (GSC) within the Shared Markets and primary link in the Shared Markets market affiliates with direct impact on alignment of commercial growth and Supply Chain Operations long and short-term strategy.
Ensures quality of customer service between Shared Markets. Resolves performance issues, leads improvements to supply process. Work independently as single point of contact between Global Manufacturing organisation, and business customers.
Responsabilities:
- Leads supply management in the Shared Markets Marketing Company , and manages tactical, commercial, and operational activities associated with one or more global external supplier of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients, formulated, and packed products
- Develops strategic plans for supply in the area of responsibility
- Accountable for establishing supply of new products, Supply Chain design and Management for the Global External Sourcing owned parts of supply chains, including Supply Robustness, Supply Capability, Supply Chain improvements and Communication
- Inputs supplier intelligence and commercial expertise into the Process Execution Team and output Process Execution Team requirements to the Supplier
- Manages tactical, commercial, and operational activities associated with one or more global external supplier of API, formulated, and packed products for AstraZeneca
- Leads global multifunctional product/supplier teams (these teams include procurement, quality assurance, planning & project management) within the Process Execution Team
- Primary contact and ensure robust secure supply of products, and to increase value to AstraZeneca from the suppliers and take responsibility for the appropriate exploitation of continuous improvement with suppliers
- Governs and be accountable for the commercial element of external sourcing projects
- Ensures long-term indicative sourcing costs meet the business needs and continuous value delivery can be achieved
- Drives value delivery in Process Execution Team and for the Global Category
- Plays a role in the development and maintenance of the Category Plan by providing both product, asset and project knowledge
- Leads a specific product/supplier acting as Global External Sourcing link to Global Supply Chain and a member of the Global Supply Team as delegated by the Process Execution Team Lead
- Ensures that the appropriate Supplier Management methods are applied to the management of all suppliers
- Leads a global multi-functional product/supplier teams, establishing and communicating strategic direction, providing business context, coaching and direction to enable the team to meet its performance targets
- Project manages cross functional international projects, including deployment of digital solutions as well as enhancing current operational and strategic capabilities.
- Leads all local initiatives and projects related to products such as early Access Programs (EAP), new product introductions (NPI), product transfers and retirement, product donations and compassionate use programs.
- Fully integrated in the Global Supply Chain function, participates in defining the strategy and process improvements focused on the Customer Experience. Contributes to expanding solutions driven by cost and process efficiency to broader business offerings such as introduction of a wholesaler or patient services, working closely with Commercial and Market Access in Customer accounting, segmentation and deploys most appropriate solution based on customer needs.
