For our R&D Department in Saint-Prex, we are looking for an R&D Signal Integrity Engineer to support product development from concept to production release, including design, implementation, testing, certification, and manufacturing. As R&D Signal Integrity Engineer, you will drive product development within the R&D team as well as provide technical support within a multidisciplinary team to determine requirements for new Signal Integrity designs.
WHAT YOU WILL DO IN YOUR ROLE
Technical Expertise in Connectivity and Signal Integrity
- Act as the product expert related to connectivity solutions within the Conextivity Group in the context of Signal Integrity.
- Provide cutting-edge knowledge and focus on high-speed data transmission technologies and connectivity solutions.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert and advisor internally and towards customer.
- Assess with partners from academia, research institutions and customers, new technologies and new solutions.
R&D Leadership and Strategy
- Lead the R&D Signal Integrity roadmap and activities in alignment with the Conextivity vision.
- Facilitate and lead discussions with R&D, product management and marketing to agree on new product development specifications.
- Work on R&D projects with electronic, mechanical design, and manufacturing teams to provide product design.
- Work with electronic, mechanical design, and manufacturing teams to provide ad-hoc tools design to be used for Signal Integrity verification and validation purposes.
Testing and Simulations
- Perform EM simulations of the connectivity solutions.
- Measure Signal Integrity figure of merits.
- Develop automatic routines to streamline and speed up the testing process.
Process Development and Documentation
- Implement processes and flows defined for Signal Integrity integration in the product development.
- Write Test Procedures and Test Reports.
- Manage the database of the instrumentation pool and testing devices.
THE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU WILL BRING
- Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent, with at least 7-8 years of experience
- 3 to 4 years of experience in the Signal Integrity domain
- Solid theoretical and practical understanding of electromagnetism and transmission lines.
- Experience with experimental tools such as VNA, Spectrum Analyser, TDR, High Speed Oscilloscopes.
- Experience with EM simulations tools e.g. CST Studio Suite, Ansys Packages.
- Knowledge of schematic circuit design, RF design and the implementation in Altium designer.
- Knowledge of programming languages e.g. Python, Octave.
- Preferable knowledge of transmission protocols e.g. SPE, USB, HDMI, PCI, Display port.
- EMC/EMI engineering experience is a plus
