disgraceful treatment of candidates
What works well?
As a client I was very satisfied, the training provided and the trainers both very professional and of a high quality.
What could be improved?
Application handling and communication with candidates. I was contacted for a job interview in 2019, but when I wanted to express my preferences for the days, the person cut me off and made me understand that since I'm looking for a job I can't have preferences, but to accept to what is proposed to me, on a "take it or leave it" basis. The person told me that she would come back to me with a proposed date in the afternoon, but I didn't hear anything more from her. Maybe a month later, the same person calls me in the morning if I can come for a job interview the same day in the afternoon. I said it was not possible because I was already on a placement elsewhere but I could possibly free myself the next day. She said she would check internally if the next day was possible for them and call me back, but again she never called me back. I find this extremely disrespectful to the candidates and I think it shows a lot of the company's human values. And yet I had a great impression of this company as a client, as I had followed a training course with them, and that is what made me want to apply there initially. Unfortunately, I was completely disappointed by this treatment and it has dissuaded me from applying for any position in this company. There is room for improvement in the recruitment process and understanding the importance of good employer branding.
